Self Description
            I believe in the fundamental importance of education and scientific literacy for human flourishing and the unique opportunity that tutoring has to supplement traditional formal learning. I have over 6 years of experience private and group tutoring that began as a volunteer Mathematics TA during my Engineering Bachelor?s program in Melbourne, Australia. My teaching methodology is based on developing fundamental and rigorous understanding of subject matter with a focus on consideration of real world applications, critical thinking, problem solving ability and personal development. I adapt my teaching style, depth and speed to each student?s preference, needs and interests and endeavour to keep them engaged in their academic goals and inspired about the world at large. I have also contributed to various e-learning platforms for preparation of notes and exam oriented questions, including MindAppz and delivered crash courses for secondary students in class room sizes ranging from 15-25 students.
Proven Track Record
            Some examples of my past students' success: i)I tutored a small group of students (3 students) with minimal former academic background ( owing to instruction in only religious studies ) in IGCSE, prepping them in Coordinated Science and Mathematics to eventually achieve a total of 2As and 4Bs ii)Led a three person group of A-Levels students in Physics, raising their average grade of Cs to 2As and 1B iii)Provided tutoring to an international student ( hailing from Bangladesh ) for his IGCSE examinations, who was failing in Coordinated Science and Mathematics to eventually achieve Bs in both subjects iv)Taught an Engineering student Mechanics of Materials 1, who was failing and severely lacking in confidence iv) Tutored a 4 person class on Add. Maths, Physics and Chemistry for IGCSE, with them scoring 2A*s , 8 A's and 2 B's v)Led an SPM crash course for over 20 students in Mathematics, Add.
