Self Description
            I am a passionate learner and a big fan in pedagogy. As a volunteer for the Federation of Reproductive Health Associations, Malaysia (FRHAM), I have been working with various groups of young people ranging from disadvantaged youths in juvenile homes and refugees. By working with these groups of young people, I am able to witness the various speed / level of learning and understanding that differ among individuals. This has prompted me learn and find ways to tailor the training sessions to suit the levels of different individuals. Apart from that, being a researcher and PhD student, I have learnt to be more systematic and organised in handling my studies. These skills are essential and useful for the younger generation, who may only learn of it in their later years of education. Additionally, I believe in being non-judgemental and open minded when communicating with young people. However, though it is true that we strive for success, at the same time, I truly embrace the belief that education should be from the heart. Therefore, I hope that at the end of the tuition sessions, students will not only become more knowledgable, but are able to grasp important learning and survival skills to equip them in university and life, in general.

           I had graduated with a First Class Honour in Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Community Health from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2008. Subsequently, the university has offered me to pursue a PhD in Community Health in the same faculty. I am currently offered a scholarship by the university. Since undergraduate, I have been volunteering for the Federation of Reproductive Health Associations, Malaysia (FRHAM) in which I have since been the Master Trainer. Occassionally whenever there are projects for reproductive health, I will be involved in the training sessions. I have worked with various groups of young people including Malaysians, refugees and disadvantaged youths living in juvenile homes. I obtained the following: 2As and 2Bs in STPM, Band 6 for Muet, 8As and 1B in SPM, A1 for 1119 English and; 7As, 1B in PMR.
