Self Description Past Experience: i) Tutoring undergraduates in Biology and Biochemistry (Teaching medium: English) ii) Attended English TOEFL classes. Have experience in the teaching styles of tutors. Teaching Approach: i) Using animated approach (video or pictorial-based teaching) to improve understanding of facts. ii) Teaching students to select keywords to build mind maps for easier memorizing and understanding of facts. iii) Revising previous lessons before beginning a new one. iv) Periodic mini quiz to enhance the understanding of the subject of matter. v) Guiding any necessary homework-based problems.
Proven Track Record While teaching undergraduates, I believe my past experience will help students to understand topics or subjects that emphasized on facts. By using a more interactive way of learning (through videos or pictorials), students can remember facts better and vividly. My past experience in attending TOEFL has enabled me to master the fundamentals of English skills - speaking, writing, reading, listening and phonetics (pronunciation). I believe that students could benefit from these set of skills in order to improve their English language efficiency.
