ACADEMIC PROJECTS: * Done Final Year Project (FYP) on "XYLITOL PRODUCTION FROM RICE STRAW" The aim of this project is to obtain a high concentration of xylose from rice straw by optimizing the hydrosylation parameter such as temperature, time and ratio of sulphuric acid (H2SO4 ). This xylose concentration is then been analyze using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Candida guillermondii yeast is then been used in order to convert the xylose into xylitol sugar by fermentation process.
