Self Description
            I firmly believe that excellence is beyond academics- it thrives with the role of education in achieving one's dreams and destiny. With such understanding, I do not just teach students; I coach and inspire youths to discover their purpose and achieve the very best in their lives. I do not believe in heavy homework and endless theories; I prefer thorough understanding of the topics taught and how well students could relate whatever knowledge learned to their daily lives. Teaching is beyond imparting knowledge from textbooks as I link them to practical experiences in the the form of stories and anecdotes. I do not stress on doing homework; what is more crucial is letting the student understand why he/she should do homework. I am a fresh accounting and finance graduate from Sheffield Hallam University, majoring in Management Accounting aka CIMA. Apart from academics, I was active in student societies and held various leadership positions, as I realised the importance of being well-rounded. My experience in mentoring comes mainly from the latter, as I enjoy inspiring my peers and juniors towards betterment in various aspects of life. I prefer consultations in small groups of 4-5 persons, usually in a relaxing environment where everyone feels comfortable & safe to expand mental and emotional horizons. Here, everyone learns more from sharing, listening to each another's experience, and discussing various solutions without restraint. Excellence comes from understanding.
Proven Track Record
            I have yet to have any track record in terms of specially tutoring students for examinations, but I have inspired young students to take up courses/ organisations towards achieving their dreams, e.g. Toastmasters, Student Welfare Committee, CIMA. Currently I have 2 students- UPSR and PMR Science, and they are progressing well as I drum up their basics in preparations for their major exams.
Achievement
           Represented college and won top 4 finalist in the CIMA Management Accounting Business Challenge (Malaysia)in 2006, Participant in the HSBC Young IT Entrepreneurs Award, Active in English Language Debates, Forums, and Book Reviews in college; Pass in Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Management Accounting cum CIMA) from Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC), High Merit in Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) from TARC. Awarded Toastmaster of the Year 2007/2008 (Public Speaking) SPM- 3As (English, Maths, Science) PMR-7As UPSR-6As In primary school, was awarded 1st place in the school's science quiz in standard 6, 3rd place in both standard 5 and standard 4.
