Self Description
            Hi! Mehrdad is here. I'm a Persian bilingual speaking English and Persian. But I'm neither in England nor in Iran but I’m right here in Malaysia to earn my PhD in Teaching English as Second Language (TESL). You want to know why I came to Malaysia to earn a PhD in TESL? Because here I can widely practice what I learn in my books, journals, and seminars I attend. And I enjoy myself in a nice tropical country. At present, I am teaching Writing for Academic Purposes at UPM as a part timer and also have four groups of home tuition students from different countries. I really don't want to type the whole resume for your but very briefly I have taught English in different levels, for different purposes, to different people form different countries, and in different places in Iran and Malaysia. Moreover, I usually present two times a year in international conferences and I am usually invited by institutions in Malaysia to conduct workshops for their students or teachers such as British Council, UPM, MELTA, and PELLTA. My work experience in working with students from Europe, Middle East, Africa, Far East, and South East Asia particularly Malaysia has helped me to develop an ability to be an inspiring, motivating, and opportunity-giving ELT teacher. Here is my professional motto: English is a MUST (M= motivation, U= understanding of culture S= sustainable work T= tolerance of mistakes) I am looking forward to hearing from you.
